The 2009 season will be the Spartans first year as a member to the league. Our founders of the team have been participating with the AzFL for many years, but decided to create a team of their own. The creation of the Spartans has been a goal for the owners and finally the day has come. The team is being built with the key ingredients for success; ambition, dedication, pride, unity and strength.
Mission Statement
Create a family not just a team. We want to create and be known for bringing together athletes and coaches that have the attitude to succeed . We want to provide an environment that is constructive and has a purpose. We aim at providing affordable participation for everyone involved and the ability to give a second chance to players and coaches who still dream of pursing a future in the sport.
Community and the Spartans
As members of the Spartans we are devoted to making an impact on the community. The Spartans awareness of the need to be involved with youth and to assist in necessary causes is recognized by all members. We are committed to volunteer projects and fundraising. We have already built a relationship with the Breast Cancer Network of Strength TM , by participating in the Walk to Empowerment TM and raising money for research. Our involvement doesn’t stop there, more plans for giving back to the community are in the stages of being finalized. Our goal is to help enrich lives that grasp to the hope of change.
