ARIZONA FOOTBALL LEAGUE 2013 Arizona Football League pre-season Passing League Teams from around the state participated in games in the Phoenix and  Tucson areas in September and October. There was a Southern AZ tournament that was won by the  Tucson Soul Patrol. All teams in AzFL were invited. A player from each team was selected as an MVP. Their photos with the award can be seen here. All AzFL teams were also invited to the final Tournament in the Phoenix area the "Valley of the Son" Championships. Three team trophies were handed out for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. The Champions were, once again, "you know", the Tucson Soul Patrol. While they won with speed and dashing athletic ability. The Soul did manage to totally destroy their own, famous post game chant. One of the other teams players said, "U don't know" It was a great, long, hot day. The highlight, depending on how you saw it was the semi final match between the SW Stampede and the WV Head Hunters. It went into 5 OT's before the coaches got together and changed the format to a 2 point try format. The result was a 7 OT win by the Head Hunters. Results for the Valley of the Son tourney were: 1st: Tucson Soul Patrol, 2nd: West Valley Head Hunters, 3rd: Scottsdale Crusaders. Player MVP's were give to each team in the tourney. Two MVP's were selected for each team in the finals. You can see the photos of each MVP winner and team photos for each team here. We did take before the tourney group photos and a shot of each of the three top teams. Get ready, the 20th season of play for the Arizona Football League begins January 2014.
