Kevin Pakos of ASPN Radio is a voting member of the AFLWA

Not playing last weekend cost the Milwaukee Iron a spot in the Arena Football League Writers Association (AFLWA) Top 8 Poll.

That and the Tulsa Talons’ impressive 63-59 victory over the Dallas Vigilantes. The victory moved the Talons (2-0) up a spot to No. 2, dropping the Iron (1-0) one position back to No. 3. Each team received a first-place vote.

The Chicago Rush (2-0) remained No. 1, receiving nine first-place votes and 93 points. The other first-place vote went to the No. 4 Arizona Rattlers (1-0).

Rounding out the poll were the No. 5 Bossier-Shreveport Battle Wings (2-0), No. 6 Spokane Shock (1-1) and tied at No. 7 the Alabama Vipers (1-1) and Vigilantes (0-1).
